Runemagick Q&A #4: From Darkness Death Doom to DAW Workflow

A new Runemagick Q&A video is now available.

In this fourth session, I answer two questions. The first one focuses on the evolution of Runemagick’s sound from the early material into the Darkness Death Doom era and how that direction came to shape what would later become a more defined and personal path.

I reflect on influences, tempo choices, early demos, and how the shift toward a heavier and slower approach was never a calculated move, but rather a natural progression. Darkness Death Doom stands, in many ways, as a turning point where things began to align more clearly.

The second question touches on DAW workflow and how I approach recording and production today. I speak about my process, limitations, and why I eliberately avoid over-perfection. The goal is not technical precision, but something that breathes – something human and organic.

This also ties into the current era, Era VI, where everything is handled more independently, allowing the music to evolve freely without predefined constraints.

More Q&A videos will come when time allows.
